We are a family-oriented fishing resort located on Lake of the Woods looking for a cook that can also help with housekeeping. Our camp is on a private island in a pristine wilderness that feels more remote than it really is, being only 2kms from our private landing and 10 minutes to town. We cater mostly to American friends and families by providing fishing vacations with quality marine equipment, clean accommodations and fresh home-cooked meals. This is a seasonal live-in or rotational role from May to Oct offering transport assistance with food, linens, wifi, AC & heat in a private room, and all modern amenities provided. Good dayrates & bonuses, split shifts with extended breaks negotiable. Tasks are mainly based around our scheduled daily made-to-order breakfast and dinner services (self serve buffet) for an average of 20-30 people (up to 40) including staff. Tasks can include a hot lunch service (up to mid June only), sandwich & shore lunch prep, cooking & baking, salad bar, occasional serving in the lodge (ie. steak nights), laundry and cabin cleaning in coordination with a team. We have a mature base of guests and employees that have been coming to our camp for decades, and we are on a search for a key personal traits that will compliment our standards and be a long term fit.
