We are looking for an experienced **Senior CNC Machinist** to join our production team. This position plays a key role in programming, setting up, operating, and inspecting CNC equipment to manufacture components that meet precise specifications. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency, leadership capabilities, and a proactive mindset focused on process improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment. **Key Duties and Responsibilities:** * Set up and operate CNC equipment, including mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines, to produce precision parts. * Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and apply GD&T standards effectively. * Create and edit CNC programs using G-code, M-code, and CAM tools such as Mastercam or Fusion 360. * Conduct in-process inspections using tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMMs to ensure dimensional accuracy. * Lead complex setups and troubleshoot production issues, collaborating with engineering teams on process enhancements. * Provide guidance and mentorship to junior machinists and support production scheduling and workflow. * Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and quality standards. * Perform preventive maintenance and address machine issues as needed. * Continuously optimize machining strategies to improve efficiency and tool longevity. **Qualifications:** * **Red Seal Machinist Certification** required. * 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in CNC machining, ideally within high-precision or aerospace sectors. * In-depth knowledge of machining methods, materials, tooling, and cutting dynamics. * Proficient in blueprint reading and application of GD&T principles. * Skilled in CNC programming using G-code and CAM software. * Competent with a range of precision measuring instruments. * Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. * Demonstrated communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities.
