The Opportunity RVS invites applications for a continuing, full-time (35 hrs/wk) Human Resources (HR) Recruiter position starting August 25, 2025 in the Human Resources department. This position will be located at the Education Centre in Airdrie, AB. The Human Resources (HR) Recruiter is responsible for the full-cycle recruitment of all positions in Rocky View Schools (RVS) to align with RVS strategic plan. The HR Recruiter provides support to all members of the Human Resources team, as well as RVS leadership across the division. The HR Recruiter is the first point of contact for prospective RVS employees and represents RVS at schools and post-secondary institution functions. Responsibilities Include Conducts the full-cycle recruitment process including job posting, advertising, job interviewing, referencing, onboarding, and data entry in Human Resources Management System (HRMS Assists in the preparation of job descriptions and participates in job evaluations Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives and collaborating with Supervisors on staffing needs Acts as subject matter expert on the applicant tracking system and HRMS Updates job questionnaires on a regular basis to ensure consistency across RVS Coordinates interview schedules, prepares interview documents, sets up meeting rooms and applicable equipment/technologies Interviews candidates and completes skill-testing processes required Facilitates reference checks for candidates Prepares job offer documents and communicates with successful candidates regarding the terms of the job offer Manages applicant pool and communicates with unsuccessful applicants Ensures all required documents are submitted by new employees in a timely manner Assists RVS employees with HR related issues and inquiries Creates and facilitates professional learning presentations related to resume writing, interview tips, and career development Coaches and trains RVS leaders on Recruitment best practices, interviewing best practices and applicant tracking software Prepares statistical reports from HRMS and other projects as assigned Organizes and attends job fairs and maintains candidate files for future employment opportunities Provides input into the annual recruiting plan and budget Participates in the annual teacher transfer and placement process Coordinates internal and external committee meetings and maintains meeting documentation Education/Experience Certificate or Diploma in Human Resources or related field Current Registered Professional Recruitment Designation Minimum 3 years progressive experience in an HR environment Previous experience within a school division is considered an asset Knowledge and Skills Excellent knowledge of Recruitment best practices and applicable legislation Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to establish collaborative working relationships with internal and external clients Outstanding organization, time management and prioritization skills Demonstrated ability to deal with a variety of complex and sensitive issues professionally and in a timely manner Ability to successfully work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications Working Knowledge of Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS) considered an asset Rocky View Schools Benefits 3 weeks'''' Vacation 11 Earned Days Hybrid (one day a week, working remotely) with Supervisor approval Flex Benefits Plan (Extended health, Dental, Wellness/Health Care Spending Account, Tax Free Savings Account and Registered Retirement Savings Plan) Defined Pension Plan Professional development and training opportunities Free parking Pre-employment Requirements In order to be selected as a candidate for an interview, candidates must submit proof of qualifications/education as required by the position The successful candidate must submit a current Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of your employment Open to: Internal and External applicants Salary: $32.84 - $39.89 per hour How to Apply We request all applications be placed through .
