In 2022, Lethbridge was recognized as one of Canadas top small cities. **Position Details** We are currently seeking an undergraduate research assistant to work on a SSHRC-funded research project titled Postal Power: Colonial Networks and the Canadian Postal Service. The research assistant in this role will be an integral part of the research team (consisting of four people: Dr. Miranda Leibel at the University of Lethbridge, Dr. Justin Leifso at the University of Victoria, and a graduate student research assistant from the University of Victoria). The project involves primary archival research, data analysis, and maintaining communication and adherence to timelines across the research team. **Duties**: - Create and maintain archival datasets (e.g., proper formatting of all archival photographs, initial transcriptions, and organization based on relevant themes). - Create and maintain the digital repository of archival sources. - Maintain communication with entire research team, including coordination of meetings. **Hours/Timeframe/Salary**: $22.57/hour for a total of 340 hours (weekly hours may vary, but this is estimated at approx. 10 hours/week throughout the academic year). 340 hours are to be completed between September 2025 and May 2026. **Application:** Please email Dr. Miranda Leibel () with your CV and a letter explaining how and why the position interests you, how it fits in with your studies, career or goals.
