Position Overview The Junior Kitchen Designer will support our Senior Designer in all phases of project development, from initial tender and estimating through to detailed renderings and client presentations. This on-site, full-time role requires proficiency in 2020 Kitchen Design software and the ability to liaise effectively with developers, builders, contractors, interior designers, and homeowners. Key Responsibilities * **Design & Drafting:** * Create and update floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings using 2020 Kitchen Design software. * Incorporate architectural plans, specifications, and client requirements into design layouts. * **Project Coordination:** * Communicate with developers, builders, contractors, designers, and homeowners to gather project details, materials specifications, and site requirements. * Assist the Senior Designer in preparing tender packages, detailed estimates, and scope documentation. * **Client Support:** * Participate in client meetingsboth internal and on-siteas needed to clarify design intent and resolve questions. * Provide timely follow-up on design revisions, material options, and cost updates. * **Quality Assurance:** * Review drawings and specifications for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company standards. * Coordinate with production and installation teams to ensure seamless handoff from design to fabrication. Qualifications & Skills * **Education:** * Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field. * **Technical Skills:** * Proficient in 2020 Kitchen Design software (required). * Solid understanding of cabinetry construction, hardware, and materials. * Competent with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). * **Experience:** * 12 years of design or drafting experience in a residential or commercial cabinet/interior design environment. * **Interpersonal Skills:** * Strong verbal and written communication; able to interact professionally with a broad range of stakeholders. * Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. * **Other Requirements:** * Ability to work full-time from our Toronto office (no remote work). * Valid drivers license and reliable transportation for occasional site visits.
