Learn more about us on our website at **About Working in Remote Camps** Our camps are located in remote areas and staff live on-site (meals and accommodation included) on scheduled shifts and leave camp on scheduled breaks. A typical shift schedule is any of the following: 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off, 3 weeks on and 1 week off or 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. Most of our LandSea camps offer individual staff accommodation, ensuite or shared bathroom, full meals, WIFI and some have health/gym facilities for staff. We provide partial uniforms and help with the travel/reservations as needed to and from camp locations. Camp staff work long hours and multiple days in a row. A typical workday is between 10-12 hours (day or night shift) and overtime rates apply. Health and Wellness benefits are offered after three months. Uses daily worksheets and standardized receipts to cook meals. Assists with overall camp cleanliness and sanitization. **General Duties and Responsibilities** **3rd Cook:** * Prepares all food items using prep lists and standard LandSea recipes * Follow proper food handling procedures * Maintains accurate rotation of food to assure top quality and freshness * Manages leftover foods correctly; cover, label, date and accurately store according to LandSea standards * Maintains clean and orderly refrigerators and work areas * Ensures stations are cleaned, sanitized, and organized at the end of the shift (including cleaning of kitchen equipment) * Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment that conforms to all food safety standards and regulations * Follows safety policies and accident reporting procedures **Janitor:** * Clean, sanitize, and disinfect all common areas, focusing on high touch point areas including doorknobs/handles, light switches, water coolers, laundry machines, etc. * Stairs, mudroom, hallway, and entrances should be swept or vacuumed twice a day * Spot wash all walls in common areas * Deep clean the laundry room and tidy for other tenants; dust and sweep daily, mop every other day * Deep clean gym; disinfect all machines, vacuum, and wash floors * Ensure common bathrooms are cleaned entirely each day; floors, toilets, shower stalls, sinks and mirrors **Job Qualifications** * 1+ years'' experience in prep work or food service is preferred * 1+ years'' experience in housekeeping or janitorial is preferred * Camp kitchen or janitorial experience is an asset * Must hold a valid food safety certificate * Knowledge of food prep, proper knife handling, temperature control, and sanitation is an asset * Excellent people skills and able to work well within a team environment * Great communication skills * Ability to work independently, effectively and efficiently * Demonstrates basic math and counting skills * Valid Foodsafe certificate required **Physical Requirements** * Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch for long periods of time * Fast and repetitive movements of fingers, hands, and wrists * Use muscles to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 50 lbs * Use hands to handle objects and tools * Able to complete up to 12 hours shifts **Other Requirements** * Pre-employment drug and alcohol clearance * Pre-employment Training and Orientation * Completed Health Questionnaire * Must have valid Government issued Identification for interview and travel * Two (2) references from former employers required * Criminal Record Check
