Homes by Avi is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Carpenter. Homes by Avi has been building family homes since 1978, with home building divisions in Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta. Earlier this year, Homes by Avi was named one of Canadas Best Managed Companies. **Carpenter** **Multi Family Construction** Your main role will be to support the Assistant Site Superintendents by performing general carpentry duties to ready our homes for occupancy. **Who You Are** * You will have the ability to build positive relationships with trades and suppliers * You are exceptionally well organized and detail oriented * You are a team player, who works well with your co-workers to ensure expectations are aligned, and customers are wowed by their new home **What You Will Do** * Frame checks, form work, constructions decks, stair railings fences or retaining walls, back framing * You will ensure efficient task management, safety, and cleanliness and will complete the job on a timely basis defect free * Efficiently complete all tasks as assigned **Your Qualifications The Must Haves** * 2+ years of proven carpentry/framing experience in the new home industry * The ability to work with your hands * Great communication skills, including the ability to get your point across and ask pertinent questions * Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities within time constraints * Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle * Personal tools and steel-toe work boots #### **Skills** Required * Confidence * Attention to Detail * Blueprint Reading * Collaborating * Flexibility * Team Player #### **Behaviors** Required * Loyal: Shows firm and constant support to a cause * Team Player: Works well as a member of a group #### **Motivations** Required * Self-Starter: Inspired to perform without outside help
