The Avionics (R&E) Technician I is responsible for effectively performing R&E routine work associated with heavy aircraft A, B, C and D checks. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Detailed knowledge of aircraft avionics and electrical systems. Understand engineering methodology for systems installations. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Must have a minimum of 5+ years previous aviation / aircraft experience. Must have an airframe and powerplant (A&P) certificates, FCC license and/or repairman certificate. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT Constantly: Lifting 10 lbs., standing, walking, wrist flexion and extension, environmental weather conditions. Frequently: Lifting 40 lbs., push/pull 20, and basic depth perception (shapes). Working at elevated heights 4, working on ladders, scaffolding, uneven surfaces, and energized parts.
