We take a great deal of pride in what we do and hope that you do too! We are searching for the following position: Sous Chef - Permanent full time/year round. Must be available evenings and weekends. Responsibilities of the position: Assist in the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation and cooking. Collaborate with the Head Chef to create innovative menu items that align with restaurant standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training on food handling and safety practices. Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes and presentation standards. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations. Handle food storage, ensuring proper labeling, rotation, and sanitation practices are followed. Assist in managing kitchen schedules and staff assignments to ensure efficient workflow. Requirements of the positon: Proven experience as a Sous Chef, or Chef de Partie for a minimum of 3 years. A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards. Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively and familiarity with restaurant management practices and food service operations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Highly organized, efficient, great communication skills, and superior attention to detail. Reliable and calm under pressure. A cheerful disposition and strong work ethic, and self motivated to develop your skills and industry knowledge.
