Human resources (HR) advisors are responsible for providing proactive and strategic HR consultation, advice, and expertise to AHS management and staff. They are often the first point of contact for management and staff seeking HR support, and are knowledgeable about current and relevant legislation, workplace policies, collective agreements, and human behaviour. Minimum Qualifications: Post-secondary degree in human resources, business administration, or related area. Registration Not required Duties Provide proactive and strategic HR consultation, advice, and expertise to management and staff. Interpret client needs, assess requirements, and identify solutions. Collaborate and consult with other HR professionals including labour relations, learning and development, recruitment, classification, and compensation. Participate in projects and special initiatives. Make a Difference Help staff and managers interpret and apply the collective agreement. Recruit healthcare professionals to communities across Alberta. Work with staff to reduce turnover and increase retention. Mediate, problem-solve, and resolve workplace conflicts. Co-create a workplace where people feel safe, healthy, valued, and able to reach their potential. Work with operational managers, human resources professionals, union representatives, and other corporate departments such as finance and communications. Collaborate and consult with senior HR advisors and other HR disciplines. Work on-site at health facilities, in corporate offices, or remote/hybrid depending on the role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
