Your Opportunity: In keeping with Alberta Health Services'' Mission Statement and Values, and as an integral member of the Environmental Services Team, the Environmental Services Worker I (ESI) is responsible for routine cleaning, collection of general waste, and upkeep of the facility, including detailed or special cleanings in areas such as operating rooms and pharmacy. Must follow Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) standards. The ESI performs other related duties as required, aiming to produce a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, residents, visitors, and staff. The ESI maintains confidentiality, demonstrates respect and compassion, participates in training of new staff, and completes tasks with minimal supervision in a busy environment. Description: As an Environmental I, you will perform routine cleaning and disinfecting tasks in healthcare environments, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restocking supplies, and reporting hazards. Responsibilities include replenishing cleaning supplies and linens, and ensuring safety standards are met.
