Working under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Registration, Switchboard & Patient Information, the Administrative Support III is responsible for obtaining and inputting accurate demographic and financial information on patients presenting at various entry points of the health system. Essential functions include: Obtaining and recording accurate demographic and financial information by interviewing patients, family members, and care providers. Consistently applying Positive Patient Identification during registration to ensure accurate record linkage, support safe patient care, and reduce identity theft. Verifying patient eligibility related to healthcare coverage. Reviewing Financial Agreement Forms for completeness. Preparing identification labels and wristbands, verifying patients name and date of birth when applying wristbands. Complying with Privacy legislation and policies. Supporting the security, maintenance, and integrity of patient records. Performing other duties as assigned. Physical requirements include assisting patients in wheelchairs and carrying belongings up to 20 lbs. Description: As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced skills to support complex procedures within a department or program. Classification: Administrative Support III Union: AUPE GSS Location: Tofield Health Centre FTE: 0.69 Posting End Date: 08-AUG-2025 Start Date: 01-SEP-2025 Hours per Shift: 5.50 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Weekends Salary Range: $23.53 - $28.60 Requirements: Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Medical Terminology certificate and typing speed of 40 wpm. Strong computer skills and proficiency in English. Effective communication and customer service skills. Ability to work under pressure, independently, and flexible to shifts. Preferred Qualifications: Post-secondary education in relevant fields and experience in healthcare or medical office setting preferred.
