Job Title: Configuration Control Lead - SAP and PLM/PDM Systems Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent About the Role We are seeking a Configuration Control Lead to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will serve as the subject matter expert for configuration and material master data management, ensuring accurate, consistent, and traceable configuration control across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain operations. You will work cross-functionally with departments such as Engineering, Procurement, Production, and Finance to ensure data integrity in SAP and PLM/PDM systems. The role requires strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a robust understanding of aerospace manufacturing practices and ERP-based configuration processes. Key Responsibilities Act as the primary focal point for all material master data requests and oversee data creation, updates, and audits in SAP and PLM systems. Create and maintain production parts, raw materials, and kits in SAP and PDM systems. Extend materials to sister sites to support inter-site flows and production requirements. Ensure accurate and timely updates to material master parameters in SAP, coordinating with Finance for Accounting and Costing views. Perform material attribute cross-checks and conduct bi-annual audits to verify process consistency and data integrity. Manage traceability changes across all three plants at the Toronto site using SAP and PDM tools. Maintain and reconcile Manufacturing BOMs (MBOMs) with Engineering BOMs (EBOMs) in the new PLM system. Represent the Configuration team at Configuration Integration Board (CIB) meetings, ensuring clear communication and alignment on release packages. Control and distribute Release Package data changes to impacted departments, ensuring all configuration data is current. Support KPI tracking for MRP II process performance and generate reports as needed. Perform mass data updates using Winshuttle and troubleshoot SAP data errors. Extract and report configuration data from SAP and PLM/ PDM systems on request. Act as a super user for both SAP and PLM platforms, offering guidance and troubleshooting to internal users. Collaborate with Finance to update and maintain the financial accounting and costing structures associated with materials and BOMs. Support purchasing strategies for all new production materials, aligning configuration needs with procurement plans. Ensure OPEX standards are maintained through ongoing data audits and drive recovery plans for non-compliance metrics. Qualifications and Experience University degree, ideally in Engineering, or related field. Project Management certification (PMP) is considered a strong asset. Minimum 3 years of experience in Project or Program Management roles. At least 2 years of management experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment. Strong customer service orientation and stakeholder communication skills. Solid understanding of engineering principles and change management processes. Knowledge of Configuration Management (CM) principles, ERP systems (especially SAP), and MRPII processes. Experience with SAP, PLM/PDM systems, Winshuttle, and mass data management tools is essential. Core Competencies Deep knowledge of configuration control and change management in a manufacturing or aerospace context. Excellent leadership and cross-functional coordination abilities. Highly detail-oriented, autonomous, and performance-driven. Strong problem-solving and data reconciliation capabilities.
