This is a key position within our organization that plays a critical role in providing excellent internal and external customer service. **Responsibilities** * Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards with a focus on Italian cuisine. * Ensure the assigned station is fully stocked and ready before each service. * Maintain a clean and organized work area, following food safety and sanitation guidelines. * Follow all good handling, sanitation, and safety procedures in accordance with location health regulations. * Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations. * Communicate effectively with staff, managers, and customers. * Exhibit energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism in a fast-paced environment. * Adapt to various kitchen tasks and cross-train as needed. * Execute daily opening and closing checklists with accuracy. * Participate in deep cleaning and organization tasks as assigned. **Qualifications** * A minimum of one year of experience in a professional kitchen is preferred. * Fluent in English. * Strong understanding of kitchen operations, prep, and line execution. * Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain). * Ability to work standing for long periods and lifting items up to 50 lbs. * Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. * A genuine passion for the restaurant industry and customer service. **Why work for Sorrentino''s Cucina + Bar** * Work with a family-owned business that values its people and community. * Opportunity to grow within a dynamic and expanding company.
