As a Policy and Project Coordinator, Government Relations and Strategic Partnerships you will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and evaluating public policies and their impact on our organization. You will work closely with stakeholders across various departments to develop informed policy recommendations and contribute to strategic decision-making processes. You will work with the Government Relations and Strategic Partnerships team to assist with project coordination, coordinate internal and internal communications and assist with other duties as required. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough research and scanning on local, provincial, and federal policies relevant to our industry and organization. Analyze policy proposals, legislation, and regulatory developments to assess their potential impact and implications. Prepare clear and concise policy briefs, reports, clippings, and presentations for internal stakeholders and external audiences. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide policy guidance and recommendations. Monitor and track policy trends and developments, keeping abreast of changes that could affect our operations Engage with government officials, industry associations, and other stakeholders to advocate for our organization''s interests. Participate in meetings, conferences, and public hearings to represent our organization and contribute to policy discussions. Supporting Responsibilities: Provide project support and coordination to the team as needed. Assist team with planning, budgets, schedule ad documentation as needed. Develop and maintain appropriate lists, databases within the department. Assist in the development, editing and finalizing of materials for presentations etc. Participate in ongoing internal and external education activities. Complete other duties as assigned. Work Location : Bayshore Healthcare, National Office, Mississauga ON Hybrid At least 2 days onsite weekly Qualifications : Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or a related field. Masters degree preferred. Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Policy Analyst or similar role, preferably in the Health care sector. Strong understanding of government processes, legislative frameworks, and policy analysis techniques. Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Ability to synthesize complex information into clear and actionable recommendations. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in all work. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. A can-do attitude. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., healthcare). Experience working on a team. Familiarity with data analysis and statistical methods. Track record of policy advocacy or public affairs work. Proficiency in [relevant software/tools] for data analysis and visualization. self and team accountable for outcomes; continuously drives improvement and value. STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE The Policy Analyst must demonstrate ongoing competency in completing all duties and responsibilities of this, in response to changes by the regulating body, as well as agreed upon specific goals and objectives.
