Responsibilities: The incumbent will manage the daily technological and operational aspects of Flight Simulator and Flight Simulation training devices within Flight Operations across all facilities. This includes management of offshore, third-party facilities located in multiple sites worldwide. This position also supports the Director, Flight Operations Training Facilities and Simulation with various initiatives related to simulator acceptance, factory and on site acceptance and regulatory certification. Qualifications: Bachelor of Science, Applied Sciences or Engineering with emphasis on computer science and aerospace or equivalent work experience in the Flight Simulation field (10+ years). Project Management experience with embodiment of avionics systems highly desirable. Six Sigma green belt training or equivalent work experience using Six sigma or similar methodologies. Project Management Certificate (PMP or equivalent) desirable. Member of PEO or eligible to become a member is an asset. Ability to use MS Word, Excel, Project and electronic mail efficiently. Level 5 Greater than five years practical experience maintaining and operating Flight Simulation Systems. Level 4 At least three years practical project management experience with a Part 704 or Part 705 Canadian Air Operator in at least two or more of the following areas: Flight Simulation Maintenance, Technical Services. Level 5 In-depth knowledge of Canadian Air Regulations, ICAO Annexes, FARs, ARINC and industry activities relating to Flight Simulation systems. Must demonstrate significant achievements in specific technical areas and/or issues; proven superior interpersonal skills and writing skills. Level 5 Satisfies CARs, IOSA, SMS, JAR-Ops, and FAA requirements for Flight Simulation Qualification, Configuration Control and Maintenance. Level 5 Combination of operational background and technical expertise is difficult to find. Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
