Job DescriptionRECEPTIONIST (Casual) - Harold and Grace Baker CentreCandidates are invited to apply for the position of part-time/ casual Receptionist including evenings and weekends to work at Harold and Grace Baker Centre, 1 Northwestern Avenue, Toronto, Ontario M6M 2J7.Reporting to the Office Managers, the Receptionist is responsible for providing clerical and administrative and scheduling support to ensure that office, reception and scheduling services are provided in a courteous, effective, and timely manner.RESPONSIBILITIES:Greeting visitors, determine purpose of visit, and direct visitors to appropriate person or serviceAnswer and forward telephone calls, take messages, schedule appointmentsAccounts Payable & Accounts receivables processing and collectionProcessing Resident CensusMaintain records as required and performs clerical work as assigned following Extendicare policies and procedures; maintain current, orderly filing systemHandle payments and trust deposits and withdrawals from families and residents, distribute mailMaintain office equipment by following guidelines in owner manuals and contacting service repair as necessaryMonitor front door for residents at risk to elopeAdhere to established policies and procedures regarding quality assurance, fire, safety, and environment and infection control.Replace Staffing Scheduler and all duties when requiredAll other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Applicants must possess:Post-Secondary education with a payroll, customer care focus.Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skillsKnowledge and experience in:standard office practices,use of office equipment,computer fundamentals and softwareProficiency in Word and Excel is a requirementDemonstrated competencies in planning, time management, ability to determine the priorities of duties and tasks and to be self-directed in their completionTime Type:Part timeWhen you choose to build your career with Extendicare, youre joining a team dedicated to making a difference.
