Opportunities exist for those looking to have a drilling career with great long-term earning potential.Job dutiesReview client requirements and proposed locations for water wellsOperate water well drilling rigs and other equipment to drill, bore and dig for residential, commercial and industrial water wells or environmental assessment, and install well screens, casings and other well fixturesDocument geological formations encounteredPlan and prepare site locationsClean and disinfect wells in preparation for usePerform routine mechanical maintenance work on water well drilling rigs and equipmentInstall, test, maintain and repair water well pumps, piping systems and equipment and perform pumping tests to assess well performanceMay provide other drilling services, such as repair or dismantling of existing water well structure, elevator shaft drilling and hydro pole drilling.Communicates with co-workers to identify previous job operations, availability of tools, parts, and machinery, scheduling requirements, and any other information needed to complete jobMaintains and repairs drilling equipmentCompletes work documentationsFollows legislative, regulatory, code and other related standards and requirementsRequirementsOttawa (head office Richmond, ON)Position would be considered physically demanding, working outdoorsRequired Class 1 Drilling licence Water WellsRequired AZ or DZ license required with clean driving abstractAsset Ability to weldBe Safety conscious, have excellent communication skills and positive attitudeTraining providedCompetitive wages based on qualifications and experience ($35-$40/hr)7:00 am start time / overtime after 8 hours (40-50 hrs per week)Health benefits available after probationary period (3 months)Coveralls, gloves, boots, PPE supplied
