Job Description The claims service representative is responsible for obtaining first notice of loss reports for auto and property claims. The individual handles customer questions on process, policies, and next steps, and updates claim information. Key Responsibilities Schedule inspections, coordinate mitigation vendors or contractors, or arrange housing for customers as needed. Contact or receive contact from customers or third parties to gather or provide necessary claim information, ensuring compliance with quality and process standards. Receive, screen, and route incoming calls and electronic correspondence related to claims. Take first notice of loss claims, explain the claim process, and provide general information to customers. Manage claim files, including locating, requesting, filing paperwork, reconstructing missing files, and transferring documents between offices. Perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing, email correspondence, calendar management, and word processing. Education High School Diploma or GED (Preferred) Experience 0-2 years experience (Preferred) Supervisory Responsibilities This job does not have supervisory duties.
