OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES: To package products in accordance with packaging instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, GMP requirements and Health and Safety Guidelines. To maintain and operate equipment in a productive and safe manner with limited supervision. To work in all areas of the packaging department upon completion of appropriate training. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Maintain and operate all lifting equipment in a proper, safe and efficient manner * Maintain and operate all line equipment in a proper, safe and efficient manner * To complete documentation required by the packaging formula * Conduct lifting equipment inspections as per company safety guidelines * To initiate and complete packaging documentation as outlined within the packaging formula. * Identify and repeatedly handle bulk tablets and packaging components * This role will split time between line feeding and packaging operator * Ensure continuous production of the packaging lines through the addition of components into the required machines * To disassemble, clean and re-assemble packaging equipment * To maintain equipment and the work area in a clean and organized fashion ensuring no potential for cross contamination * Pack finished goods in accordance with work order routing instructions * Safely erect and assemble shippers (both manually and automated) * Safely maintain IPA replenishment within packaging * Ensure the physical quality of packaging components as they enter the packaging area. Report any discrepancies, or deviations to the Supervisor * Participate in the rejection process for packaging components * Report any deviations found with respect to instructions and materials used. * To perform basic mathematics as it pertains to packaging formula receipt, reconciliation or returns * To dispose of waste in an environmentally responsible manner * To perform duties with limited supervision * Work closely with supervisors, lead hand and operators regarding upcoming work orders and the necessary components required * To help train other employees * Working in compliance with the company s Health & Safety Policies/SOPs including but not limited to the Safety Responsibilities Procedure * Will comply with Good Manufacturing Practices in all GMP sensitive areas of Jamieson Laboratories Ltd. facilities * Miscellaneous duties, as assigned QUALIFICATIONS * Grade 12 or equivalent. * Ability to read, write and speak English * Acute awareness of self and surroundings * Ability to lift up to 40 pounds * Basic mathematical, mechanical and trouble shooting skills.
