**Job Overview** We are seeking a **Red Seal Millwright** to join our high-performance maintenance team at a large-scale food production facility in Calgary, AB. This role is ideal for a skilled tradesperson with experience in high-speed manufacturing environments who is passionate about equipment reliability, continuous improvement, and working in a collaborative team setting. **Key Responsibilities** * Read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints to carry out installations, troubleshooting, and repairs * Install, maintain, and troubleshoot power transmission, pneumatic, vacuum, and hydraulic systems * Inspect equipment to identify irregularities and perform preventive/corrective actions * Operate lathes, milling machines, and various welding equipment (ARC, MIG, TIG) to fabricate or repair components * Assemble machinery using hand and power tools * Execute work orders in accordance with preventive (PM) and corrective (CM) maintenance schedules * Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency * Ensure compliance with food safety, environmental, and occupational health & safety regulations * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment * Follow all lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and respond to breakdowns as needed * Perform other related duties based on operational demands **Candidate Requirements** * Certified Red Seal Millwright * Minimum 3 years'' experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment (Food manufacturing preferred) * Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems * Experience with machining (lathes/milling) and welding (ARC, TIG, MIG) * Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement * Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and programs * Excellent teamwork and communication skills (verbal and written) * Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Outlook, Excel) * Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and overtime **Working Conditions** * Fast-paced environment * High emphasis on teamwork * Rotation follows a **4-week cycle**: * 4 weeks on **Afternoon Shift** (10:00 AM 10:00 PM) * 4 weeks on **Night Shift** (10:00 PM 10:00 AM) * Rotation occurs between: * Shift 1 & 2 (Front End) **or** * Shift 4 & 5 (Back End) * Either Saturday or Sunday is scheduled off weekly * Schedule is seniority-based and subject to operational needs * Overtime available Job Type: Full-time Pay: Up to $37.57 per hour Ability to commute/relocate: * Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: * manufacturing environment: 3 years (required) * machining (lathes/milling) and welding (ARC, TIG, MIG): 3 years (required) Language: * English (required) Licence/Certification: * Red Seal (required) Location: * Calgary, AB (preferred) Work Location: In person Application deadline: 2025-07-13
