Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Materials Planner to join their team. As a Materials Planner, you will be part of the operations department supporting cross-functional teams. Starting in one year contract with potential to move to permanent. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Materials Planner Location: Brantford, ON Pay Range: 36 to 38 per hour Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday What's the Job? Develop and maintain a master production schedule (MPS) that aligns with sales forecasts, inventory levels, and capacity constraints. Analyze material requirements based on the MPS and create detailed plans for procurement and inventory management. Create and optimize production schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. Monitor inventory levels to ensure that materials and finished goods are available to meet production and customer demands. Identify opportunities for process improvements in MRP and production scheduling and implement best practices. What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in material requirements planning, production scheduling, or a related role in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in MRP and ERP systems, as well as production scheduling software. Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools.
