Viacore''s customer-oriented maintenance service has earned us a reputation for being the best in the industry. **Job Summary** Edmonton branch is currently seeking a Journeyman or Apprentice Welder to join our Mechanical Services Team. Were looking for knowledgeable, experienced, and highly motivated individuals who have great work ethic and enjoy working in a team-focused environment. **Main Responsibilities:** * Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications * Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), * Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment * Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines * Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers. **Job Requirement** * Must hold a current and valid drivers license. * Must be able to work with minimal direction * Willingness to travel * Willingness and ability to work overtime and/or irregular hours * Willingness and ability to work in remote locations **What We Offer** * Competitive compensation package * Full range of health benefits * Group RRSP plan with employer matching * Awesome team of dedicated individuals * Exciting and challenging work * Opportunities for career development Reporting to: Mechanical Services Superintendent If interested, please apply with a current resume.
