Nortera Tecumseh is currently looking for a highly motivated, energetic team member to join our Maintenance Department as a full-time Fill & Close Millwright supporting the canning department in Bulk Processing. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this Millwright is responsible for providing a key skill set of technical skills and production skills primarily in the canning department and across various departments and objectives throughout the year. * Perform lubrication, preventive maintenance, and repairs as directed by both the Maintenance and Production manager. * Weld, burn, and braze (AC-DC stick, oxygen acetylene) to a reasonable degree of strength with the appropriate accuracy and appearance. * Utilize predictive maintenance tools such as handheld vibration analyzer, sonic tester, laser aligner, and a thermal imaging device to detect and diagnose equipment issues. * Read, follow, and interpret basic types of piping schematics as well as blueprints, illustrated part breakdown, etc. that is essential to this facility and its production lines. * Assist with rebuilding, diagnosis mechanical issues, adjustments and repairs as needed to all equipment in the food processing/filling area of the canning processing department. * Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements as well as adhering to and perform all work in a safe manner following all established policies and procedures. * Attend training sessions or utilize other methods to acquire knowledge of seaming equipment or systems. * Obtain and maintain a company forklift operators license. * Perform all other duties as assigned, including helping in a millwright capacity in other departments. * Industrial Millwright Mechanic (433A) certification is required for this role, or equivalent. * Must be mechanically inclined, minimum 2-3 years of relative experience food canning line is considered an asset * Must be capable of speaking, reading, and writing English at a Level 3 requirement. * Must meet basic dexterity requirements such as bending, twisting, reaching, grasping, crouching, stair/ladder climbing, working at heights, and lift up to 50lbs (ie: heavy lifter). * Specific vision abilities are required including by not limited to close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. * Confirmed acceptance of working in hot, humid, wet, damp, soapy, dusty, loud/noisy, dimly lit work environment. * Be technically trained/trainable in all aspects of our plant equipment, systems, and platforms including basic computer and mathematical work. * Must have the ability to make quick, accurate decisions, working under pressure and tight operational deadlines. * Open availability with willingness to work various shifts throughout the week including continental shifts, night shift, on call, statutory holidays, overtime, and weekends. * Proven ability to work effectively as a team - collaborating and effectively communicating. * Demonstrates work place safety is a priority and aligns well with the companys *Vision, Mission, and Values* statement. * Hourly wage range for this role is $41.63-$43.38 * NOTE: the continental schedule is week 1: 3 days of 12 hour shifts (Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday), week 2: 4 days of 12 hour shifts (Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and Friday). #### **Experience** Required * 2 - 3 years: Manufacturing Facility in a Millwright capacity * 2 - 3 years: Industrial Millwright Preferred * 1 - 2 years: Food production #### **Education** Required * Technical/other training or better #### **Behaviors** Required * Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well * Team Player: Works well as a member of a group * Dedicated: Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrity #### **Motivations** Required * Growth Opportunities: Inspired to perform well by the chance to take on more responsibility * Ability to Make an Impact: Inspired to perform well by the ability to contribute to the success of a project or the organization * Goal Completion: Inspired to perform well by the completion of tasks
