RMS provides full millwrighting services including preventive maintenance programs, machine repair, shift coverage, machining, designing solutions for equipment issues, and high quality fabrication of stainless as well as mild steel and aluminum. RMS is experienced in managing large or extended projects, completing small custom solutions for businesses, and prides itself on cultivating a passionate workforce that is highly skilled in industrial machine repair. We believe that honesty and customer satisfaction are important in developing a positive working relationship. **POSITION OVERVIEW and RESPONSIBILITIES:** Through technology, a strong work ethic and continual innovation, Royal Machine Solutions is becoming an industry leader in outsourced millwrighting services. Due to this growth, we are looking to add a skilled, hard working manual machinist/CNC machinist who is keen to join a growing and collaborative organization. We offer the opportunity for extensive skill development and multiple apprenticeships. **Skills Include:** * Working safely * Ability to set up and operate manual lathes and milling machines * Experience with setup and operation of CNC equipment including lathe and mill. Hass VF2, Bridgeport, Fanuc 0i lathe control, and a CNC router and CNC plasma cutter running Mach 3 * Ability to program machines using Fusion 360 would be an asset * Able to use various other machining tools such as surface grinders, drill presses, band saws, angle grinders, and small tools * Able to perform maintenance and repairs on above tools and machinery * High degree of accuracy while referencing drawings, programs, and measuring devices * Read and interpret blueprints/drawings * Commitment to product safety & quality, safe working practices, and continual improvement * Working independently, as well as in a team * Willingness to learn new skills and share the knowledge with other team members * Strong interpersonal skills * Strong sense of organization and cleanliness * Mechanical aptitude **QUALIFICATIONS:** * Training in Lift Truck, WHMIS, and Fall Arrest would be considered an asset but not a requirement **REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:** * Safety and punctuality is a must * Minimum 3 years as a machinist * Contracting environment: 3 years **REQUIRED EDUCATION:** * High School Diploma/Certificate **COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:** * Dependent on skill and experience * Medical/Dental benefits after three months Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person
