**Job description** Hayter''s Farm is a family-owned turkey farm in Dashwood, Ontario that has been operating for more than 75 years with over 150 team members from across the Globe. We celebrate small victories and move towards continuous improvement every day. **Key Responsibilities:** **The Barns** * Provide Turkeys with care. Completing daily checks to ensure the birds are comfortable and utilizing technology to following, monitoring and adjust feed, ventilation, and lighting programs * Prepare barns for a flock. Sanitizing, setting up feed and drinker lines, and applying proper bedding * Follow farm protocols and programs (workplace safety, security, animal welfare, food safety, on-farm biosecurity) * Complete basic maintenance on the barns **The Farm** * Safely use farm equipment and assist with sanitation of equipment * Support the field team during planting and harvest season, operating the buggy, planters, combines, and other * Operate different types of equipment for planting, harvest, and manure. * The successful candidate will gain experience with a variety of cutting edge technologies found in the agriculture industry. **Qualifications** * 1 year previous experience with livestock an assest * 1 year previous experience with crops an asset * 1year experience operating heavy equipment as an asset * G License is required, DZ or AZ an asset * Confidence using monitoring technology for the barns and tractors **Position Overview** This position is a full-time permanent opportunity working with our Farming Operations team.
