Overview: **Journeyperson Machinist or Millwright** **Sureway** **Construction** is one of Albertas largest heavy construction contractors, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction. **Work Local - Work Sureway!** **Job Type:** Full Time, Permanent **Schedule:** 10+ Hours per day (day shift), 5 & 2, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week **Location:** Shop: 9175 14 Street NW, Edmonton, AB **We Offer:** * Tool/Boot Allowance * Benefits, RRSP/TFSA Matching * Air Exchange Units * Specialty Dealer Training Provided with Certification * 38 Bay State of the Art Shop with dedicated Engine, Transmission and Machining Bays * Specific Manufacturer Tooling with Software and Diagnostics * **Sureway is a Repair Facility, not a component exchange shop; providing our technicians with a sense of ownership** **Requirements:** * Full Complement of Hand Tools * Personal Reliable Vehicle * CSA approved steel toed boots with 6 ankle support **Pre-employment:** * Drug and alcohol testing which may be swab or urine depending on site requirements * Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation * Fitness to Work Assessment **Journeyperson Machinist or Millwright Qualifications:** * Must be a Journeyperson Machinist or Millwright * Must have a minimum four (4) years'' Journeyperson experience * Must have a minimum three (3) years line boring. * Exceptional organization and cleanliness skills are REQUIRED **Journeyperson Machinist or Millwright Responsibilities:** * Perform line boring on worn or damaged bores. * Accurately set up portable line boring machines and equipment. * Accurately measure and align bore holes for bushings, pins and other components. * Restore equipment to original specifications . * Use welding machines to prepare and restore surfaces for boring when necessary. * Promote, execute and adhere to the companys safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture * This is a general responsibilities list and does not include all responsibilities required of the position **Sureway Construction Group** adheres to employment equity and equal opportunity programs.
