**Backwoods Energy is seeking Highly Experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic for immediate work at our Facility in Nisku, AB.** **The Role:** * Performing maintenance tasks on a variety of Heavy Equipment * Working in both a shop and field environment * Ensuring the highest quality of maintenance, repairs and inspections are executed * Working with a team to create a safe, productive, and enjoyable work environment * Analytical decision making and problem-solving * Testing of repaired equipment to evaluate proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturer specifications * Ensuring works orders, safety inspections and all related reporting is completed to company standards * Mentor apprentices working for Backwoods * Additional and alternative duties that may be changed from time-to-time by the Employer. **What We''re Looking For:** * Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic/Technician Certificate; * Valid class 5 drivers license. * Minimum 2 years experience post Journeyman certification on heavy equipment; Fleet Management experience * Possess excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills and abilities; * Experience with mechanical repairs and maintenance on all types of heavy-duty equipment including forestry and civil construction.
