Work Location Remote - Ontario Entity: SNDL Work Group: Government Retail Education Specialist, East Department: Cannabis Operations - Commercial Location: Montreal, Travel mandatory Supervisor: Senior Provincial Sales Manager, East Date: 2025 **OVERVIEW** SNDL is looking for a dynamic candidate who will execute the brand and product education for SNDLs portfolio in the government operated retail stores of Eastern Canada. The candidate for this role is passionate about the cannabis industry and building strong client relationships to support driving business growth while ensuring all activities comply with provincial & federal regulations regarding the staff education and sale of cannabis products. They can articulate the key benefits and attributes of different products, uncover new business opportunities, and maintain key relationships with retail partners. This role is ideal for a motivated and dynamic sales expert who can excel in a fast-paced, regulated industry. This role would also assist in the sell in and education of listings at the SQDC and New Brunswick head office and attend conferences, so being fluent in French in a requirement. Internal Relationships: Commercial Provincial Sales, Commercial - Retail Sales, New Product Development, Innovation, Marketing **Key Responsibilities** * **Sales & Education** o Create and conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for new and existing clients. o Attend conferences to highlight SNDLs brands and educate other industry professionals. o Educate store staff on SNDLs assortment to retail staff that falls within the parameters of the rules from head office o Plan and execute brand featured in-store pop ups to talk directly to consumers o Merchandise marketing material when necessary in store o Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks. * **Client Relationship Management** o Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with retail clients and industry stakeholders. o Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner o Provide exceptional customer service and timely follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction. o Assist in board level product sell in with the respective provincial sales manager. * **Market Research & Analysis** o Stay up to date on cannabis industry trends, market conditions, and competitor products. o Identify new sales opportunities and areas for market expansion. o Analyze sales data to optimize strategies and drive business growth. * **Sales Administration and Analysis** o Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions. o Assist in the development of sales materials, education presentations, and promotional content. o Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and key business insights. o Analyze sales data to inform business decisions and adjust sales strategies as needed o Participate in coaching and feedback initiatives to continuously improve performance. * **Compliance & Budget Management** o Ensure all activities comply with provincial & federal regulations regarding the sale of cannabis products o Stay informed on changing laws and regulations affecting the cannabis industry o Monitor expenses and ensure they are within approved budgets **Qualifications** * **Education & Experience** o A Bachelor''s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred). o Proven sales experiencecannabis industry experience is a plus! * **Skills & Abilities** o Customer service attitude o Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently. o Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. o Strong sales, negotiation, and business development skills. o Ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships. o Knowledge of cannabis products and industry regulations. o Open to coaching and feedback with a growth mindset. o Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise o High sense of urgency o Experience in category management is an asset o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software. **Other Requirements** o Fluent in French o Valid drivers license and reliable transportation (travel is required). o The position requires both driving and flight travel to various locations frequently o Travel will include retail visits, client meetings, events, and industry trade shows. o Ability to pass a background check. o Work hours can vary and may include evenings & weekends to accommodate client schedules & industry events
