Senior Tax Manager needed in Guelph! Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Tax Manager in the public accounting sector in Guelph ON, Ontario. Our client is actively hiring for a permanent Senior Tax Manager to join their team. The perfect person for this role has 7 years of experience, their CPA, and completion of the in-depth tax program. Responsibilities: Collaborate with partners and senior staff to devise and execute strategic tax planning assignments. Conduct technical research and create detailed tax planning recommendations. Mentor 1-2 tax technicians / tax accountants and anyone working on personal tax during tax season. Oversee a portfolio of tax services clients, ensuring high-quality service and client satisfaction. Review and assess tax returns and related work prepared by team members. Identify and pursue new business opportunities and client service enhancements. Manage engagement financials, including budgets, work-in-progress (WIP), variances, and billing. Lead initiatives for practice improvement and professional development. Successful candidates will have: 7 years of experience in tax and 2 years as a Tax Manager. CPA designation. Experience with HST. Experience with mergers and acquisitions, estate planning, and butterfly transactions. 3 years of experience in audit and assurance. Completed in-depth tax or master of tax program.
