What you will be doing : Support the implementation of the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP). Track compliance with applicable best management practices, Permit conditions, Environmental Work Plans, Environmental Management Plans, and site-specific plans. Coordinate environmental design and construction input between various disciplines. Assist the project team in developing Environmental Work Plans and Environmental Standard Operating Procedures. Prepare and review reporting associated with environmental compliance (e.g., Weekly Environmental Reports, Monthly Environmental Reports, Environmental Incident Reports, etc.). Support the development and implementation of an environmental training and awareness program. Manage data collection, storage and analysis. Assist with environmental incident investigations in accordance with incident reporting procedures. Support with field work, including environmental monitoring, and data collection. Coordinate environmental specialists in performing their work, including scheduling and tracking of deliverables. Liaise on a day-to-day basis with project supervisors and others. What we are looking for : Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field. 5+ years experience in construction projects of similar size/scope. Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) designation is required. Knowledge of Provincial and Federal environmental regulations (e.g., Fisheries Act, Water Sustainability Act, Environmental Assessment Act, etc.). Past experience in environmental monitoring. Effective communication, data organization and technical reporting skills. Ability to work outside in various weather and terrain conditions. Proficiency with computer programs for managing and communicating environmental data.
