Department: Cargo Handling Location: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia Wage: $18.00/hour Employment Type: Full-Time Client: Reputable logistics company in Dartmouth Position Summary We are hiring a Warehouse Worker Packaging on behalf of our reputable client in Dartmouth. This role involves crate and pallet construction, cargo packaging and securing, and general warehouse maintenance. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, and experienced in warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities Build crates and pallets for cargo transport Secure breakbulk cargo onto flat racks and containers Create container load maps and conduct condition inspections Label and heat-wrap cargo Perform equipment checks and general warehouse upkeep (e.g., racking, painting) Follow ISO and OHSAS procedures Safety & Quality Responsibilities Maintain a safe work environment for self and others Adhere to QHSE procedures and report hazards or incidents Participate in the Joint Occupational Health and Safety (JOHS) Committee Authorized to stop any unsafe activity or condition Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (logistics experience preferred) Experience using power tools Valid certifications in: Dangerous Goods Handling WHMIS First Aid Forklift Operation
