**Job Title:** Accounts Payable Clerk **Location:** Stoney Creek, ON **Job Type:** Part-time Contract- 6 Month -May be extended **Salary:** $22.00-25.00 per hour **Hours:** up to 35 hours per week **About Us** The Job at a Glance As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will provide accounts payable support to the entirety of the Accounting department. Your primary responsibility is processing vendor invoices and payments. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working as part of a team in an open office setting; they should posses efficient multitasking skills with a strong ability to problem solve. If you are a self-motivated person that is eager to learn and improve processes, we want you to apply! **Key Responsibilities:** - Assist Accounts Payable clerks as needed; - Reviewing Accounts Payable invoices for accuracy, necessary approvals, and proper coding; - Work with intercompany personnel to solve problems efficiently, and offer support; - Process invoices for payments in a timely manner, to ensure we are meeting vendor terms; - Review Accounts Payable invoices for accuracy, necessary approvals, and proper coding; - Review vendor statements; - Creating Accounts Payable Invoice batches with minimal errors and within vendor payment terms resulting in no late fees; - Maintaining great customer relationships by responding quickly and accurately to both internal (employee) and external (vendor) questions and requests for information; - Full cycle Accounts Payable processes; - Process EFT and cheque payments for vendors during weekly cheque run; - Perform month end processes; - Provide support to other departments and the business as needed; - Other duties as assigned. **Key Qualifications** - You have basic accounting knowledge (prior experience would be considered an asset); - Business or accounting diploma would be considered a great asset; - You pay close attention to detail; - You possess strong time management skills: you enjoy prioritizing, organizing and planning to meet all deadlines and are able to think outside the box; - Youre an effective communicator & are fluent in English (Both written and verbal); - You have basic computer and Microsoft office skills; - French as a second language would be an asset.
