By providing the majority of mechanical requirements in-house, including engineering, 3D-design, sheet metal, HVAC, refrigeration, and controls, and Service Department, we are a ONE-STOP shop for any project. **Purpose of Position:** Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment **What We Offer:** * $47-55 per hour depending on experience * Employer Paid Benefits Package (Ext Health, Dental, Vision, AD&D, LTD, Life, EAP, Critical Illness) * $500 Annually in Health Care Spending Account / Healthy Living Account / EDU * Employer RRSP Matching * Paid Parking * Paid Vacation & Holidays * Referral Incentives * Opportunity for Advancement * Great Company Culture * Company Events (BC Lions Games, Christmas Party/Lunch, Pizza Days, etc.) * Competitive Wages and Career Growth Opportunities into Leadership Roles **Reporting Structure:** Refrigeration/AC technician, reports directly to their Retro Fit Service Manager or Supervisor **Primary Responsibilities:** * Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine running of Linesets * Install, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems * Low Voltage Control wiring * Final Hook-up and Commissioning of Air Conditioners & Heat Pumps if JM or assist as an apprentice * Conduct routine inspections to ensure the efficient operation of HVAC equipment * Servicing of Existing Refrigeration and HVAC Equipment * Confer with Service Team, Contractors and Suppliers to resolve any issues * Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards in all work activities **Experience, Education & Qualifications:** * Journeyman Red Seal or 4th Year Apprentice in Refrigeration and HVAC **Skills & Proficiencies:** * Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques * Excellent problem-solving and decision making * Ability to decipher electrical diagrams * Ability to work independently or as part of a team * Exceptional communication and interpersonal communication * Ability to meet sensitive timelines * Ability to adapt to the changes in day-to-day workloads OPM is an equal opportunity employer.
