**Job Description** Aureus Solutions is seeking a part-time **Industrial Water/Wastewater Operator** to join our growing and dynamic team. This position will help operate, monitor and troubleshoot of an industrial wastewater treatment system. A provincial operating licensing is **not** required for this system. *Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator* **Position Summary** **About Aureus** For 20 years, Aureus has helped organizations manage ongoing risks and responsibilities associated with water/wastewater. We help clients manage and optimize water/wastewater risks in a cost-effective manner, so they can focus on their core business. **Operator Responsibilities and Day-to-Day Functions:** * Perform daily operations in accordance performance needs and regulatory requirements * Monitor and report on plant performance * Perform plant cleaning (regular and semi-annual) * Identify and take corrective actions to operating problems in the treatment plant * Oversee waste contractor as required * Other duties as assigned **Work Schedule:** * Part-time, up to 20hrs/week, during regular business hours. (07:00 am-05:00 pm) **Qualifications:** * Completion of Grade 12 Diploma; or GED * Related Post-Secondary education in water and/or wastewater treatment, laboratory, or an environmental would be an asset * Water/wastewater provincial license would be an asset * Valid driver license * Excellent communication skills, both written and orally * Ability to work independently with off-site supervision * Ability to lift over 20 kgs * Ability to work cooperatively with others and in a team environment * Satisfactory Criminal Background Check.
