This critical role involves managing a team of service electricians, ensuring the efficient and profitable delivery of service calls, fostering strong client relationships, and driving continuous improvement in service operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in electrical systems, proven leadership skills, exceptional customer service acumen, and a keen understanding of business operations within the electrical contracting industry. **Key Responsibilities:** ***Team Leadership & Management:*** * Schedule and dispatch service technicians efficiently, optimizing routes and response times. * Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development. * Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. ***Service Operations & Delivery:*** * Oversee the complete lifecycle of service calls, from initial contact and scheduling to completion and invoicing with the assistance of the Service Coordinator. * Develop and implement efficient service procedures and workflows to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction. * Manage inventory of tools and materials, ensuring proper stocking levels and maintenance. * Troubleshoot and provide technical guidance to service technicians as needed. * Ensure accurate and timely completion of service reports, work orders, and related documentation. * Oversee warranty claims and ensure appropriate resolution. ***Customer Relationship Management:*** * Act as the primary point of contact for escalated customer service issues, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution. * Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients. * Gather customer feedback and implement strategies for continuous improvement in service delivery. ***Financial & Administrative Management:*** * Review and approve invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports related to service operations. * Monitor job costs and ensure accurate billing for all service work. * Collaborate with the Service Coordinator to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and collections. **Qualifications:** ***Education:*** * Journeyperson Electrician License (309A) is required. * Bachelor''s degree in Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is an asset. ***Experience:*** * Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in electrical service, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. * Proven track record of managing and leading a team of service technicians. * Demonstrated experience in customer service and conflict resolution. * Experience with service management software and dispatch systems. ***Skills & Abilities:*** * Excellent leadership, coaching, and team-building skills. * Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations. * Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities. * Outstanding communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Proficient in using relevant computer software (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, service management software). * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. * Valid driver''s license and a clean driving record. * Able to lift at least 25 pounds.
