Looking for a reliable and detail-oriented **Vehicle Prep Technician** to join our Fleet Maintenance team. This role plays a critical part in preparing company vehicles and equipment for sandblasting. The Vehicle Prep Technician ensures all units are properly cleaned, masked, and prepped according to safety and quality standards prior to surface treatment. **Duties and Responsibilities:** * Disassemble and remove parts such as lights, mirrors, decals, and other components as directed to expose surfaces for blasting. * Mask and protect non-blasted areas using tape, plastic, paper, and other materials according to prep standards. * Inspect vehicles for structural or surface damage and report issues to supervisors before blasting begins. * Maintain a clean and organized prep area, including tools, masking supplies, and safety equipment. **Requirements:** * Previous experience in vehicle or equipment preparation, detailing, or industrial coatings is considered an asset. * Comfortable using hand tools and masking materials in a workshop or yard environment. * Basic mechanical knowledge and comfort working around a variety of vehicle types. * Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a variety of outdoor and indoor conditions. * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures and checklists. * Valid drivers license and own form of transportation. **Cavanagh Employee Benefits:** Family, people-centric culture Safe and healthy workplace, promoting well being.
