We are committed to providing high-quality products while maintaining environmentally responsible practices. **Job Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team full time in our office in Sechelt. This role will report directly to our controller and part-time CFO. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day accounts payable/payments cycle, revenue and accounts receivable, key performance indicators (KPIs), month-end financial close, payroll, sales tax, and payroll tax processes. **Key Responsibilities:** * Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounts payable and payments cycle. * Handle revenue and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely invoicing and collections. Oversee monthly contract calculations and billings. * Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs). Update monthly dashboard and reports in KPI software. * Manage the month-end and year-end financial close process, including preparation off financial statements. * Administer payroll and ensure compliance with all payroll-related regulations. * Prepare and file sales tax and payroll tax returns. * Oversee employee benefits with bookkeeper. * Assist the controller and CFO with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. * Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies * Perform other related duties as assigned. **Qualifications:** * Bookkeeping designation or CPA designation preferred; however, candidates with significant relevant experience will also be considered. * Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. * Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a bookkeeping role. * Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, teams and particularly Excel. * Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. * Excellent organizational and time management skills. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. **Salary and Benefits:** * Salary range of $40,000 - $45,000, depending on experience. * Comprehensive benefits package. * Opportunities for professional development and growth. * A collaborative and supportive work environment. **Job Type:** Full-time **Pay:** $52,000.00-$65,000.00 per year **Expected hours:** 35-40 per week **Application question(s):** * Are you willing to be in office 4 days per week? **Experience:** * Accounting: 3 years (required) **Education:** * Bookkeeping designation, or payroll certification, and or CPA designation. **Work Location:** In person **Application deadline:** 2025-08-11
