If youre driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about building a long-term career, Steelcon offers an exciting opportunity to grow and succeed. **Position Overview** We are seeking a skilled 310T Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of trucks and trailers. The role will begin in our yard and eventually transition to local service calls, ensuring our vehicles remain in top condition. **Key Responsibilities** * Diagnose and repair air leaks, airbags, fuses, lights, and other mechanical/electrical issues. * Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) on trailers to keep them compliant with service schedules. * Conduct inspections and troubleshoot mechanical problems efficiently. * Ensure all repairs meet safety and regulatory standards. * Maintain accurate service records and documentation. * Assist with vehicle pickups, making the 310S qualification a valuable asset. * Other duties as assigned **Qualifications** * 310T Truck and Coach Technician License. * Experience working with heavy-duty trucks and trailers. * Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently and handle on-site service calls. * Commitment to workplace safety and compliance **Work Environment** * Full-time position: Monday to Friday, 5:30 AM 2:30 PM, with occasional weekend work. * Mechanics start in a shop or yard, working on trucks and trailers. * Mechanics may work outdoors in various weather conditions, dealing with dust, grease, and occasional hazardous materials. * Use of protective gear (gloves, goggles, steel-toe boots) is required for safety. * Tasks involve lifting heavy parts, working in tight spaces, and standing for long periods.
