Reporting to the President and VP of Operations, Summerhill Market is looking for a **Facilities Maintenance Manager** to manage all facilities and equipment maintenance across 9 locations in the GTA (6 retail stores, a commissary kitchen, warehouse & event space). **Duties & Responsibilities:** * Manage all building facilities and equipment maintenance (commercial retail, production kitchen and warehouse environments) to ensure adherence to health & safety and cleanliness requirements * Perform a variety of skilled and general labour tasks related to HVAC/refrigeration, commercial kitchen equipment repair, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, etc. * Organize and act as the primary point of contact for any new builds, retrofits or equipment installation projects * Develop and execute a preventative maintenance program, scheduling planned maintenance to prolong equipment lifecycle * Outsource skilled-labour work to contractors and preferred vendors as needed; liaising with contractors, managing projects, negotiating rates/service terms, approving quotes & ensuring the scope of work is completed to company standards * Perform landscaping duties as required (i.e. shoveling snow, salting, etc.) * Additional duties as required **Skillset Requirements:** 5-10 years+ of experience as a licensed/certified skilled-trades person, performing general handy work for commercial retail and industrial facilities. Experience working on grocery stores or food production facilities is an asset Licensed journey person in any skill-trade profession. Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic - 313A preferred. Open to candidates with electrician license (309 A or 442A license), plumber license (306A), gas license (G1) or building environmental systems certificate (BES) Fundamental knowledge with the ability to perform general tasks related to mechanical, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, HVAC and building systems.
