To learn more about us please visit us online at kawarthalakesconstruction.com **The Role** The Senior Residential Construction Estimator is responsible for compiling estimates, costing products and services for our clients. In determining budgets, the Estimator assesses the material, labour, and equipment required, analyzing different quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers and using our vast database of historical data. Ideally you would enjoy working in a highly detailed, fast paced environment. We only offer fixed priced contracts for our clients so we price every detail before a contract is signed. No surprises. **Main Duties & Responsibilities** * Read blueprints and technical documents to prepare estimates for various residential projects. * Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time and material, equipment, and labour expenses. * Verify returned tenders are clear, complete, and accurate; resubmit requests to clarify ambiguities and ensure accuracy. * Review final quotations for vendors/suppliers to ensure all details are accurate * Analyze project-end report details to identify ambiguities in assignment of cost data to division and category. **Required Qualifications & Experience** * Minimum 10 years residential construction estimating experience. * College business administration and or architectural technologist diploma an asset * Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code & appropriate standards and practices. * Knowledge of residential construction and renovation techniques. * Experience in project evaluation and budgeting of residential construction. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Advanced knowledge of construction estimating software and Excel ***We thank all applicants for their interest, however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.*** Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year Benefits: * Company events * Dental care * Disability insurance * Employee assistance program * Extended health care * Life insurance * Profit sharing Ability to commute/relocate: * Lakefield, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Application question(s): * Please elaborate on your interest in relocating to the Lakefield/Peterborough area Experience: * residential construction estimating: 10 years (required) Work Location: In person
