Your Opportunity: In keeping with Alberta Health Services Mission Statement and Values, and as an integral member of the Environmental Services Team, the Environmental Services Worker I (ESI) is responsible for routine cleaning, collection of general waste, and upkeep of the facility, including detailed or special cleanings in areas such as operating rooms and pharmacy. Must follow Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) standards. The ESI is responsible for performing other related duties as required. The ESI''s goal is to produce a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, residents, visitors, and staff. The ESI must maintain confidentiality and be respectful and compassionate in all interactions. The ESI participates in training and orientation of new staff and performs other duties as required. These tasks are to be completed with minimal supervision in a busy, fast-paced environment. Description: As an Environmental I, you will perform routine tasks related to cleaning and disinfecting healthcare environments. Duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restocking supplies, stripping linen, remaking beds, replenishing cleaning supplies and linens, and reporting hazards to your supervisor.
