Responsibilities Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficiency and quality. Ensure that all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative menu items that reflect current trends. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and restaurant policies. Help manage kitchen operations during peak hours to ensure timely service. Skills Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations. Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role within the restaurant or food service industry. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration within the kitchen team. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
