Beach Acres Resort is seeking an energetic, reliable, customer service-orientated candidate to join our Front Desk team. Salary: $20 per hour plus Tips. If you enjoy working with people, can work both independently and as part of a team, enjoy problem-solving, and have a desire to go above and beyond to make guests happy, we would love to hear from you! Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and proficiency with computers is an asset. The successful applicant will have great customer service skills and will be able to multi-task, think on their feet, and be able to adapt to various situations. Work will entail a combination of day, evening, and weekend shifts. The successful candidates will work 5 days a week, with 6.5-hour shifts. Shifts would be Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday evening shifts from 2:30pm - 9:00pm. This is a permanent year-round position offering a 32.5 stable hours per week. Applicants looking for additional hours would be welcome to join our housekeeping department part-time. Training will be provided in the use of our reservation system and various resort protocols. Experience: 1 year of front desk experience or customer service skills preferred Free on-site parking is provided. This position is suited to candidates who are already living on mid-Vancouver Island and is not suitable for applicants looking to relocate.
