Mercato on Main is a fairly new (2019) and modern Italian 'one stop shop' bakery carrying imported products, fresh bread, sweets/ coffee, deli, and a variety of staple Italian food served at our hot table with some items made fresh to order in the kitchen (pasta, fried foods, steaks, etc).We are a small, family-owned business looking for a line cook who is capable of completing: Line orders Daily prep Daily cleaning duties Sorting grocery orders Etc. kitchen tasks This candidate: Must have prior kitchen experience, minimum of 2 years Must have their Food Handlers Certificate Must be able to work as a team Must be able to listen/ follow instruction Must be able to communicate with hot table staff Must be organized Must be open to working in a family environment (we're all very friendly)Work Remotely No Schedule: Monday Tuesday Friday Saturday or Sunday (must be available one day of the two) Summary As a Part-time Food Service Worker, you will be integral to our kitchen team, responsible for food preparation, cooking, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, your role will involve utilizing your kitchen experience and Food Handler Certification to maintain a clean and efficient workspace. Your core skills in meal preparation and food handling will be essential in delivering high-quality dishes to our guests.
