Start date on or around July Company Policy and Procedures: Understand, abide by, and enforce company procedures Is on time and fit for work at beginning of every shift Specific Responsibilities: Coordinate and execute noxious/prohibited invasive plant mitigation program Identifying invasive plants accurately and determining the most appropriate herbicide for effective control Applying herbicides safely and effectively, following all label instructions and applicable laws and regulations Operating side-by-side sprayers, backpack sprayers, and other equipment necessary for invasive plant control Ensuring crew members follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including proper handling of all chemicals Coordinating with crew members to plan and schedule work days, including assigning tasks and delegating responsibilities as appropriate Creating and maintaining accurate records of herbicide use and safety paperwork and reporting any incidents or issues to supervisors as necessary Communicating effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns or questions Conducting regular inspections of equipment and ensuring it is properly maintained and in good working order Driving a truck and trailer loaded with side-by-side sprayers and other equipment, adhering to all traffic laws and safety guidelines Human Relations: Maintains positive attitude and outlook toward work performed Contributes to productive team atmosphere Treats all stakeholders in a respectful manner Equipment and Company Property: Maintains clean driving record Able and willing to maintain and drive trucks with trailers Able and willing to maintain and drive side-by-sides (UTV) Has ability to learn new equipment efficiently Quality: Maintains professional approach Instructs others in techniques to improve quality Able to maintain quality while increasing efficiency Responsible for final quality on assigned projects Safety: Reports or corrects dangerous situations Reports accidents/incident and fills out proper paperwork Safe operation of tools and equipment Use of required safety equipment and PPE Strong time management, project planning and written/verbal communicationsSelected candidates will be contacted for an interview. Job Type / Category: This is an in person supervisor certified pesticide applicator-labour job working a 5&2 shift (Monday-Friday) focusing on invasive plant mitigation.
