Job Description

Job Summary The Inventory and Sales Associate accurate data entry of inventory, physical counts of inventory, internal audits of inventory, and providing support to the accounting team. The Inventory and Sales Associate works on special projects and other duties as needed. The position reports to the General Manager. Essential Roles and Responsibilities Enter inventory receipts into Compass inventory software Main contact for Compass inventory software Updates pricing information on products and services in databases Perform physical counts of inventory and ensure inventory reports are accurate Track, investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies Prepare and complete internal cost audits, price testing on key products, and recommend cost savings. Updated supplier cost changes on databases and Compass. Greet customers, respond to questions, improve engagement with merchandise and provide outstanding customer service Direct customers to merchandise within the store Follow order entry procedures from beginning to end Operate cash register, debit machine and computer Ability to work under pressure while achieving maximum efficiency Maintain attractive presentation and organization of the store Continually build knowledge of company products, services and policies Provide professional customer service by answering and directing telephone calls, and email inquiries as needed Support the landscape supply store as needed Provide general assistance to the accounting department as needed Complete other tasks assigned by General Manager Qualifications and Experience Having 1-3 years experience with inventory management Knowledge of Sage accounting software Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and windows programs Highly organized and detail oriented Analytical thinker with strong problem solving skills Superior communication and organizational skills Ability to provide support, collaborate and work well with others in a non-supervisor capacity.Job Type: Full-timePay: $21.00-$23.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits: Flexible schedule On-site parkingWork Location: In person
