We prioritize consistency, compliance, and innovation, and we are seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician to support our cultivation operations. Position Summary The Irrigation Technician is responsible for managing and maintaining all aspects of the irrigation and fertigation systems within the indoor cannabis facility. This role ensures optimal watering schedules, nutrient delivery, and system performance to support healthy plant growth and maximize yield. Key Responsibilities - Monitor and operate automated irrigation and fertigation systems daily.- Ensure plants receive accurate and timely water and nutrient feedings according to cultivation protocols.- Conduct routine checks of emitters, drippers, valves, lines, and reservoirs to ensure proper function.- Adjust irrigation schedules based on environmental factors, growth stages, and feedback from the Cultivation Manager.- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on irrigation systems and equipment.- Calibrate pH, EC, and dosing systems to ensure consistent nutrient delivery.- Maintain accurate logs of irrigation schedules, water usage, and nutrient applications.- Coordinate with the Cultivation team to identify plant health concerns potentially linked to watering or nutrient issues.- Mix nutrient solutions safely and according to standardized operating procedures.- Ensure compliance with Health Canada regulations and internal standard operating procedures (SOPs). Qualifications - Prior experience in irrigation or fertigation, preferably in a controlled environment agriculture (CEA) or cannabis setting.- Knowledge of irrigation system components and plumbing fundamentals.- Ability to use and calibrate meters for pH and EC.- Strong understanding of plant water and nutrient needs.- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.- Ability to work in humid, warm greenhouse environments and stand for long periods.- Familiarity with Good Production Practices (GPP) and Health Canada regulations is an asset.- Must be able to pass a criminal background check as required for cannabis industry employment.
