HOURS OF WORK: Days - Monday to FridayMust be flexible on hoursMATERIAL HANDLER/EXCAVATOR CRANE: MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform a daily pre-inspection of equipment, record the results Perform some preventative maintenance on equipment (i.e. greasing) Ensure piles are safely piled to avoid creating a hazard Able to interpret, use hand signals, and voice to communicate with others Ability to perform various types of physical labour including moderate to heavy lifting, standing, bending, shoveling, etc Able to exercise good judgment in load handling, placement of equipment and material Sortation and grading of metalsOTHER DUTIES: TRUCK DRIVER (FLATBED & ROLL OFF): Accurately complete, on a daily basis, all required paperwork This position entails on site driving Haul material from various areas inside a manufacturing plant Mount and dismount heavy truck several times a day Check all delivery slips and scale tickets thoroughly Other duties as assigned by DispatchREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Able to work independently Minimum three (3) years' experience operating heavy equipment (material handler/excavator crane/truck) Ability to work and drive outside in all weather conditions First Aid and CPR is an asset Forklift Operation is an asset Ability to read, write, and speak English Good spatial skills Ability to adapt and adjust to various assignments as requested by SupervisorBENEFITS: Competitive Wage Weekly direct depositJob Type: Full-timePay: $20.00-$25.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 - 50 per weekBenefits: Dental care Extended health care On-site parkingSchedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Overtime Weekends as neededEducation: Secondary School (preferred)Experience: Heavy equipment operation: 1 year (preferred)Language: English (preferred)Licence/Certification: Forklift Licence (preferred)Work Location: In person
