Position: Optometric Assistant As an Optometric Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our clinic runs smoothly and efficiently. From greeting patients and performing pre-examination testing to assisting optometrists during appointments, your contributions will directly impact patient care and satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Patient Care : Welcome patients with a friendly attitude and guide them through their appointments. Pre-Testing : Conduct diagnostic tests (e.g., visual fields, OCT, retinal imaging) with accuracy and professionalism. Scheduling : Help patients book follow-up appointments and manage their schedules efficiently. Administrative Tasks : Maintain accurate patient records, process invoices, and ensure a clean and organized workspace. Team Collaboration : Support your teammates by being adaptable and proactive during busy periods. Education : Provide patients with basic information about treatments and ensure clarity on costs while deferring medical explanations to the optometrist. Qualifications Previous experience in a medical or optometric setting is an asset but not required - we will provide thorough training for the right candidate. Strong organizational skills and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure in a busy environment.
